Iran-petrochemicals-Export
Deputy Oil Minister Gholam-Hossein Nejabat anticipated on Tuesday that some dlrs 7.8 billion worth of petrochemicals will be exported during the current Iranian year (March 2008-March 2009).
He made the remarks in the inauguration ceremony of the first Iranian Petrochemical Conference at the Olympic Hotel in Tehran.
"The total sales of the petrochemical products would reach dlrs 12.2 billion," Nejabat said.
Given that some 12 petrochemical plans will go on stream across the country by the end of current Iranian year (started March 20), he added some three new plans have went on stream so far.
"The rest of schemes will become operational gradually," Nejabat said.
Some 8.5 million tons of petrochemicals, once operational, will be added to the national production capacity, he said.
