India-Pakistan-Iran Gas
Reiterating India's commitment to the $ 7.4 billion Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) gas pipeline project, Murli Deora Friday told Pakistan that India has requested Iran to convene a trilateral Ministerial meeting on the project.
In a meeting in New Delhi, Friday, with visiting Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, India's Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Murli Deora discussed the issues pertaining to the IPI Gas Pipeline Project.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of cordiality and mutual understanding.
Both the Ministers acknowledged that this Project is of immense economic and strategic value for both countries.
Earlier, speaking on the IPI gas pipeline project, Pakistan Foreign Minister at a joint press conference with Pranab Mukherjee here said: "India-Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline will be a "pipeline of peace and new bondage".
