Bahraini Minister of Industry and Mines Hassan Abdullah Fakhr held talks with the Bahraini Ambassador to Iran Rashid bin al-Dosary in Manama on Wednesday.
At the meeting, Fakhr praised the al-Dosari for his efforts to improve Iran-Bahrain ties.
Referring to the positive impact of last week's meeting between Iranian and Bahraini businessmen in Manama, Fakhr urged al-Dosary to continue his efforts in this respect.
The fifth meeting of Iranian and Bahraini businessmen was held in Manama last week.
Vice chairman of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, industries and Mines, Alaeddin Mir-Mohammad Sadeqi led the delegation in the talks in Manama.
Head of Tehran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines Yahya Al-e Eshaq, heads of six provincial chambers of industries and mines as well as 38 Iranian businessmen accompanied Mir-Mohammad Sadeqi.
Iran-Bahrain trade exchanges in the past decade have increased from dlrs 20 million to dlrs 170 million, indicating an eight-fold increase.
During the five-day event, establishment of a joint Iran-Bahrain bank, a five-star hotel in Mashhad and opening of Manama-Mashhad air link, reducing customs tariffs and easing visa issuance was brought up for discussion.
