Iran-Tajikistan-University
Tehran and Dushanbe are going to establish a joint university in Tajikistan, the Iranian ambassador to Dushanbe said on Saturday.
Addressing a group of Iranian students residing in Tajikistan, Ali Asghar Sherdoost noted that the process of establishing the university is to start in near future.
"The branch of Payam-e Nour University will be established in Dushanbe as of next academic year (stating on Sept. 22)," he said.
Referring to an increase in the number of Iranian students studying in Tajikistan, Sherdoost stated that the Islamic Republic will do its best to resolve educational and welfare problems of them.
"The Iranian students are the envoys of the Islamic Republic's culture, civilization and science," Sherdoost added.
According to him, currently over 400 Iranian students are studying in Tajikistan at B.A., MA and PhD levels.
