Asia-Pacific Conference on Anatomy to be held in Iran

Asia-Pacific Congress on Anatomy titled 'Viewpoint on Modern World Anatomy' will begin at Razi Conference Center in Iran University of Medical Sciences on Friday.

The congress on anatomy is aimed at promoting scientific exchange between Asian countries and other countries around the world, head of Iran University of Medical Sciences, Anatomy Department, Mohammad Taqi Joghataei told IRNA on Tuesday.

The anatomy session is to examine the latest research on basic cells, living tissues, scientific techniques for surgery and some other medical issues, Joghataei said.

More than 100 specialists on medical and basic sciences from 30 countries including Japan, UK, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Pakistan, Russia, Poland, Germany, Spain, Canada, Brazil and a number of other states will take part in the congress, he added.

Some 400 essays will be delivered in the form of speech and seminars on nano, rehabilitation anatomy, tissue engineering and cell treatment are also scheduled in the program, Joghataei noted.

The Asia-Pacific International Congress on Anatomy will begin on May 16 and run through May 19.
