Islamabad, July 18, IRNA

Pakistan-Accident
Eleven persons were killed and 17 others injured in a collision between a bus and a wagon in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province on Thursday, police said.

A passenger bus was heading to Gujranwala, a city some 60 kilometers from Lahore, when it rammed into a wagon coming from the opposite side, police said.

Nine persons died on the spot while two others breathed their last at the hospital, hospital sources said.

The injured were rushed to two hospitals in the area.

Some injured are in critical condition.

Most accidents in Pakistan take place due to high speed, ignorance of traffic laws and poor condition of roads.
