3rd Iran-IAEA technical talks ends

Iran-IAEA-Talks
The third round of technical talks between IAEA delegation and Iranian officials ended after 3 days of negotiation.


The Iranian officials and delegation from International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) talked for the last 3 days behind closed doors in the venue of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization headquarter in Tehran.

Content of the talks have not been disclosed yet, but it was said the consequences of the three rounds of technical talks between IAEA and IAEO will be presented in the report of IAEA's Chief to the Governing Council at the end of current month.

An informed official told IRNA that Herman Nackaerts, director for regional department of Safeguards Operation, headed the IAEA delegation, while Ali Asghar Soltanieh, Iran's permanent envoy to IAEA, chaired Iranian team in this round of negotiations.

The official, who asked not to be named, said the negotiation was held in expert level and some experts from Foreign Ministry also attended the talks.

The technical delegations of both sides had another talks around two weeks ago on April 28-30 here in which Olli Heinonen, deputy chief of IAEA was present in the first day of talks.

After the release of a report by IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei on February 22, the first round of technical talks between Iranian officials and Olli Heinonen was held.

Tehran addressed all questions raised by the IAEA in order to remove the West's concern on its peaceful nuclear program based on a work plan signed on August 21, 2007.
