Iranian Foreign Ministry official on Wednesday welcomed the upcoming visit to Iran of Chinese journalists.
Deputy director of of the press and information department Akbar Qassemi invited a press delegation from China to visit Iran.
At his meeting with executive director of China's Journalists Association Chao Chen Yoo, Qassemi said that by visiting Iran, Chinese reporters and journalists can gain detailed knowledge about Iran's development and the trend of progress in the field of press and media.
Referring to the necessity of expanding media cooperation and exchange of press delegations between Iran and China, Qassemi said that Iran's foreign ministry is ready to provide proper facilities for such objectives.
Elaborating on the important role of the press and media to introduce the two countries' culture and civilization, he expressed hope that Iran-China economic and political ties will be publicized by the press and media of the two countries.
He called for holding regular meetings in the presence of two countries' media officials, leading to establish Iranian Television department in China.
Expressing pleasure with visit of Iranian press and media delegation to China, the Chinese official said that such visits will be a step forward to advancement media relations.
Iranian press and media delegation headed by Akbar Qassemi arrived in China on May 3.
