Iran-South Africa ties reviewed

Iran-South Africa-Meeting
Visiting Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs Mohammad Reza Baqeri held talks with South African Deputy Foreign Minister Aziz Pahad on issues of mutual interest on Thursday.

At the meeting, the two sides conferred about political, economic and trade issues.

According to the South Africa Foreign Ministry the bilateral talks will lay the basis for the 10th South Africa-Iran joint economic commission that will be co-chaired by South Africa Foreign Minister Dlamini Zuma and Hossein Samsani, the Iranian Acting Minister of Economy and Finance in Tehran on August 2-3.

During the three-day event the two sides will talk about the international and regional issues, including the Middle East, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Baqeri, heading a delegation, visited Pretoria on Thursday.
