Iran-Athens-Ambassador
Mahdi Sherdoost was named Iranian new ambassador to Greece, it was announced on Sunday.

The appointment was proposed by Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and approved by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Sherdoost had earlier served as charge d'affaires in Beijing, consul general in Mumbai, India as well as the first and second head of the Foreign Ministry's Office for Southeast Asia and head of administrative affairs.
