Iran-Student Admission-High Education
Student admission to the universities nationwide has been doubled since the ninth government took office three years ago.

Announcing this, Head of Payam-e Nour University Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini also said that based on official statistics, universities' capacity in bachelor degree level has increased from 20,000 to 40,000 and from 2,000 to 4,000 at doctoral level.

Hosseini, also deputy minister of science, research and technology, added at the 39th cultural political meeting of Basij (volunteer forces) instructors, said that one of the most important objectives of Fifth Development Plan is to attain top position in the region in the fields of science, technology and economy.

Payam-e Nour University which has 488 branches nationwide and abroad plays a significant role in education sector, he said, adding more efforts should be made in developing educational space, especially in virtual education.
