Mottaki, Turkey dyFM discuss Tehran-Ankara ties

Visiting Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Ertugrul Apakan discussed interested issues with Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.

Mottaki said that there is wide ground for cooperation between Iran and Turkey and that a clear image of fields for cooperation is necessary.

He pointed out that Iran and Turkey because of their high potentials and their role in the Middle East region enjoy an excellent position in the international arena.

"Continued consultations between the two countries prevent misusing of others and help strengthen common stand of the two countries in different fields," Mottaki said.

Apakan by referring to the development of ties between Iran and Turkey in recent years expressed hope that the trend would continue.

He also called for cooperation between private sectors of the two countries and added Iran and Turkey have common view points on regional issues.
