Mottaki in Kuwait to attend meeting of Iraqi neighbors

Kuwait City, April 22, IRNA

Iran's Foreign Minister, Manouchehr Mottaki, heading a delegation, arrived in the Kuwaiti capital city on Tuesday to attend a meeting of Iraq's neighboring states.

Foreign Ministry spokesman, Mohammad-Ali Hosseini is also accompanying Mottaki.

Mottaki proceeded to the venue of a preliminary conference from the airport immediately after his arrival in Kuwait City.

The Iranian foreign minister was warmly welcomed by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Muhammad al-Sabah.

IRNA reporter in Kuwait said that formal meeting will be held on Wednesday after the preliminary session which started earlier on Tuesday.

Representatives from 29 countries and regional and
international organizations will attend the confab.
