UNICEF honors elements of 'Mana'

United Nations Children's Fund honored those involved in the production of the film 'Mana' directed by Ali Reza Razzazi-far in a ceremony in Arts Cultural House Monday.

Addressing the gathering, Sedaqat thanked those involved in the film and said that wrong attitudes towards HIV prevail in the society and media and cinema are the main means of helping change the approaches.

Meanwhile, manager of UNICEF's Communications Office Alexander Nietzsche said that the film 'Mana' is very important to the entity because it shows how to combine art and education to access entertainment-education process.

In the past years, the process has been turned to a significant and effective means to reform incorrect behaviors and the film is an example of entertainment-education, he said.

Appreciating the Center for Developing Documentary and Experimental Cinema as the producers of the film, he also said that they indicated how to change wrong attitudes in the society by creating a real scene.

At the end of the ceremony, UNICEF's officials presented certificates of honor to those involved in the the production of the film.
