Head of Iran Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaei said on Sunday that Iranian doors are open to tourists.
Addressing the executive directors of Gilan province,
Rahim-Mashaei who is also vice-president added: "Iranians should internationally value their rich heritage for which Iran has high reputation."
He asserted that certain countries are trying to introduce Iran as a rogue nation but the truth is different, the Iranian nation is indeed advocate of peace and friendship.
"Today, the globe has to know Iran's truth something which would boost Iranian prestige worldwide," he noted.
"We should strive to present Iran's great potentials to the world, defending the nation's historical heritage and stimulating the country's national pride that is a fundamental necessity," Rahim-Mahsaei said.
The Islamic Revolution helped Iran present the true identity of Iran, he added.
Flying to Gilan province, northern Iran, the vice-president is due to inaugurate the third phase of Cultural Heritage Museum in the province and visit a project to rebuild Iran ancient Hotel.
