Palestinian Ambassador to Tehran Salah al-Zawawi on Tuesday expressed gratitude to Iran for supporting the cause of Palestine in international organizations.

Al-Zawawi further said that Iranian government and people showed sense of humanitarian obligation to the fate of oppressed Palestinian people in the wake of victory of the Islamic Revolution.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, adding that those, who participated in the first meeting of envoys of Islamic countries, acknowledged that they cannot ignore destiny of the oppressed nation.

He termed the meeting of ambassadors from the Islamic nations in Tehran as a result of efforts made last year's conference preparing grounds for holding the second meeting properly, he called on Islamic states to maintain solidarity and expand cooperation in taking common strategy in this regard.

The efforts will bring good results for Muslims worldwide, he said, adding that the meeting can turn into a parliamentarian body in the heart of Inter-Parliamentary Union.

The Guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran have made Palestinians determined to fight aggression of enemies, he added.

A number of ambassadors of Muslim nations met with Shahroudi to explore developments of the Islamic world.

The Palestinian envoy also underscored that those, who migrated to the occupied land and established the fake Zionist regime, should know they will never live in tranquility.
