Call for establishing Iran-German committee

Tehran, July 19, IRNA

Iran-Germany-Committee
Visiting head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines Mohammad Nahavandian held talks on Saturday with a number of German officials on issues of mutual interest.

At the meeting, he called for establishment of Iran and Germany joint committee in the near future for the settlement of financial disputes between the two countries.

Referring to economic sanctions over Iran's peaceful nuclear activities, he underlined that sanctions may end some day and noted that the two countries should become familiar with each other's economic potentials.

He also called for expanding scientific cooperation with Germany.

Given the establishment of Iranian commerce center in Germany, Nahavandian noted that some negotiations have been held in this respect.

He also termed the establishment of the joint committee as vital in expanding bilateral ties.

Referring to longstanding Iran-Germany economic and political ties, he noted that the political issues should not hinder trade ties.
