German third division club Dynamo Dresdener will test 22-year-old Iranian defender Sassan Gohari who has an amateur contract with Bundesliga squad Hamburger SV, the daily Dresdner Neueste Nachrichten newspaper reported in its Tuesday edition.

"We have been monitoring the player for quite some time and know his strengths and weaknesses," said Dresden manager Ralf Minge.

Coach Ruud Kaiser has invited him (Gohari) to take part in team practice.

Gohari will also be tested in the friendly against SC Borea so that the coach can make a final decision, added Minge.

Gohari who started his football career as a junior footballer at Hertha Berlin, had also been briefly linked to Bundesliga squad Hansa Rostock last summer.
