Iran-Vienna-Exhibition
An exhibition featuring historical objects dating back Islamic era will be held in world's greatest museum, Vienna Museum of History and Art, in 2010, said Head of Iran's National Museum Mohammad Reza Mehr-Andish.
Mehr-Andish said the exhibit will be held in line with National Museum's new policies to expand cooperation with the World's acclaimed museums.
Introducing Iran's culture, history and civilization and acquainting other nations with historical background of the country are among the main objectives of the display in Vienna.
The exhibition will pave the ground for conclusion of an agreement with director of Vienna's History and Art Museum, he said.
Holding exhibitions to showcase Islamic era relics and coins kept in Vienna Museum and cooperation for establishment of a section at the National Museum to focus on nation's history and civilization are among other provisions of the deal, he noted.
Referring to interest of international acclaimed museums to host National Museum's exhibitions, Mehr-Andish said such events seek to make the world familiar with Iran's rich culture and civilization.
