Brazil-Iran-New Envoy
Brazilian new Ambassador to Tehran Antonio Luis Espinola Salgado on Monday presented a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.
Mottaki said in the meeting that Iran and Brazil have excellent ties and that leaders of both countries are willing to develop cooperation in light of extensive potentials the two countries enjoy to do so.
Expressing satisfaction with level of trade between Iran and Brazil, Mottaki called for promotion of ties.
Considering capabilities of the two countries companies they should be encouraged to undertake implementing development projects in both Brazil and Iran, he said.
Salgado said Brazil considers Iran as regional power and appreciates Iran's key role in helping resolve international and regional issues.
He called for continued consultations at the highest level between the two countries.
"In addition to politics, there are considerable potentials in the fields of science, technology, agriculture and livestock breeding for cooperation," the new ambassador said.
