Ahmadinejad: Days of bullying powers are numbered

Tehran, July 2, IRNA

Iran-President-Plane
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday that the days of bullying powers are numbered.

President Ahmadinejad made the remark in a cabinet meeting here on Wednesday where he paid tribute to the victims of an Iranian passenger plane shot down by an American warship over the Persian Gulf in 1988.

Such criminal acts have roots in their ideology which allows them to commit any crime in order to attain their goals, he said.

An Iranian passenger plane bound for Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, was shot down by the US warship 'USS Vincennes' shortly after take-off from Bandar Abbas on July 3, 1988.

All the 290 passengers and crew on board including 65 children, were killed.

Those who committed such crime were awarded with courage medals, he said.

On current developments in domineering countries, he said they are now experiencing a very tough time which is getting worse beyond their control.
