While extending an invitation to India's Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh to visit Pakistan, visiting Pakistan's Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi Friday said that the political environment in both the countries was "right" to make the peace process "result-oriented".

"We are looking forward to his visit to Islamabad," the Pakistan Foreign Minister said at a joint press conference with Pranab Mukherjee here.

The Pak minister also said there is a "virtual consensus" on the peace process and that "we should not miss on this opportunity".

"Governments have to show political will and they have to give leadership" to resolve these issues, he said adding political parties in both countries were supportive of the peace process.

Qureshi remarked that serious thoughts should be given to "outstanding issues that need our consideration."
Speaking on the India-Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project he said, "India-Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline will be a "pipeline of peace and new bondage."
Meanwhile the fifth round of the Indo-Pak composite dialogue will be held on July 21 and 22.

Peace and security, confidence building measures and Jammu andf Kashmir are among the issues to be discussed during the dialogue.

Meanwhile, Pranab Mukherjee called for Pakistan's cooperation in combating the menace of extremism.

He said that terrorism was a threat to the democratic framework of India and Pakistan and asserted that both the countries needed to be "unambiguous" in addressing the threat.
