Iran's Minister of Justice Gholam-Hossein Elham on Tuesday held talks with Chinese Deputy Justice Minister Zhang Sujun on mutual judicial cooperation.
Elham expressed his condolences to he Chinese nation and government on the quake disaster occurred in China that left over 30,000 dead.
Referring to the two countries joint stand on international, economic and political issues, the Iranian minister called for promoting cooperation on judicial affairs as well.
Iran and China have adopted same perspective on international questions including establishing permanent security and peace in the world and calling on the big powers to give up unilateralism, Elham added.
Moreover, he said that those similar point of views help two countries come closer to each other to stand up to the bullying powers and the US as well.
Mentioning the increased economic cooperation between Iran and China, Elham called for developing judicial relations and removing the existing obstacles in this respect.
To overcome such obstacles, Iran and China can make a deal on extradition of prisoners, he reiterated.
The Chinese side, for his part, called for further bilateral judicial cooperation between Iran and his country concerning the longstanding ties in the field of politics, economy and culture.
