Iran supports intra-Lebanese consensus on ongoing crisis

Tehran, May 20, IRNA

Iran-Lebanon-Jalali
Iran wants different Lebanese groups to find a strategy that would secure their national interests, said an Iranian lawmaker here on Tuesday.

Rapporteur of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Kazem Jalali told IRNA Tuesday that naturally, Iran considers stability in Lebanon as the most important issue.

Jalali said that foreign intervention will make conditions in Lebanon further complicated and undoubtedly Lebanon should be run by Lebanese people and groups themselves.

He said a national unity government, comprising all groups and factions, should be formed so that stability is restored in Lebanon.
