Iran's Red Crescent Society will soon send 60-ton relief aid supplies including tents, medicines and mattress to Chinese quake-stricken people.

The Chinese quake victims will shortly receive Iran's humanitarian aid, IRNA reported on Monday.

A severe earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale struck Sichuan province in southwestern China last Monday and left more than 30,000 dead and made numerous Chinese people homeless.

China declared national mourning for three days.

The Chinese people observed three minutes silence nationwide Monday to mark the tragedy which hit the nation one week ago.
