President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in this northeastern province on Wednesday along with his cabinet members.

This is the second provincial tour of President Ahmadinejad in the new Iranian year which started on March 21.

He was warmly welcomed by a number of local officials at Gorgan's airport.

The president is to address provincial residents at Gorgan's stadium within hours.

While in the province, President Ahmadinejad will inspect a number of provincial development projects, meet with families of martyrs and hold separate meetings with provincial clerics and scholars.
