Rafsanjani: dispute between Shia and Sunni a creeping, dangerous plot

Chairman of Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani here Saturday said the future of Iraq is bright adding that the aim of liberating Iraqi nation is very sacred, but the ways of reaching that holy goal must be carefully examined.

Speaking in meeting with the head of Iraqi Dawa political party Ibrahim Jafari, the EC chairman said security is the first condition for having a tranquil and developing Iraq.

He said causing dispute between Shia and Sunni is a creeping and dangerous plot in Iraq and the Iraqis must confront it.

Ibrahim Jafari, for his part, congratulated the 28th anniversary of Islamic revolution victory and added this victory had effects on the international community as well.

The former Iraqi prime minister called Saddam Hussein a dictator, who committed crimes against Iraqi nation and other nations of the region, especially Islamic Iran.

Concerning occupying forces in Iraq, Jafari said the best way for them is leaving Iraq adding even public opinion in their own countries supports their departure from Iraq.
