Tehran, July 20, IRNA

Iran's top nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili said in Geneva that the two sides should reach a joint action plan.

Talking to IRNA, he said the EU has presented a modality plan for the negotiations to resolve the dispute on Iranian nuclear program.

Tehran has also presented an action plan too and that the two plans enjoy both similarities and differences, he said.

During the next round of talks, the two sides should reach a modality plan upon which the negotiations would continue, Jalili said.

"A framework should be set up, then any kind of decision with that framework will be understandable," he told reporters after his meeting with representatives of the Group 5+1.

On relations with Washington, he said, "The more positive the approach will lead to less differences."
He termed the process of diplomatic negotiations as similar to the process of producing "Iranian hand woven carpet" that is "precise, delicate and durable".

He also referred to the Geneva talks as "constructive".
