Saffar-Harandi expresses condolence on Shakibaei's demise

Iran-Shakibaei-Harandi
Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance on Friday expressed his condolences to Iran's cinema community, nation, the family of Iran's well-known actor Khosro Shakibaei and his students on the sad demise of the lovely actor.


In a written message, Mohammad-Hossein Saffar-Harandi has said:
"No doubt, Iran's cinema community, artists and actors are indebted to the popular artist Khosro Shakibaei."
The 64-year-old Khosro Shakikbaei, with a magnificent cinematic record, passed away on Thursday night suffering from heart attack.

He started his career as professional movie actor after victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, playing in The Red Line by Masoud Kimiaei in 1982.

Iran's veteran actor Jamshid Mashayekhi lamented Shakibaei's death saying, "Khosro Shakibaei was an honest man who made his all-out efforts to promote Iran's cinema."
One of the young Iranian actors Hamed Behdad expressed his regret at Shakibaei's death: "No word can interpret the sad event. Khosro went to eternal life. It is a regret to miss him."
The funeral procession for the star will be held tomorrow.
