Iran, Kuwait urge expansion of ties

Iran-Kuwait-PM
Special representative of Iran's president, Ali-Reza Sheikh-Attar, met and conferred with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Nasir al-Muhammad al-Ahmad al-Sabah on Monday.


Sheikh-Attar, also deputy foreign minister, voiced Iran's readiness for implementation of the agreements already inked by the two countries.

He underscored the need for materialization of several joint strategic projects including water and gas piping projects.

He also called for facilitating trade between the two countries.

Referring to Iran's strategic situation in the region, the Kuwaiti PM said the Iranian government and people are friends of the Kuwaiti nation.

He underlined the importance of further expansion of Iran-Kuwait economic and trade cooperation.

The Kuwaiti prime minister called for exchange of visits between the two countries to help promote bilateral ties.
