An Azeri expert said Saturday that Iran or any other Muslim state cannot be a threat to Azerbaijan.
"Iran or any other Muslim country can not be a threat to Azerbaijan. As a Muslim, I condemn US moves in Muslim countries of Iraq and Afghanistan," Head of the Religious Beliefs Center in Azerbaijan E. Ibrahim Oglu told the Saturday edition of the Baku-based Azeri daily Yeni Musavat when asked to comment on the US Ambassador to Baku's claims that Iran's missile test is a danger for Azerbaijan.
Oglu said security of all Muslim states is a stake by the world arrogance.
He said Bush's government is responsible for an unforgivable blunder it has committed.
He urged Azeri social circles to support the people in Iraq and Afghanistan against US plans there.
"Support for any Muslim state is justified. As an aggressor, the US can attack any other Muslim state after these two countries," he said.
Meanwhile, member of Azerbaijan's National Assembly Panah Hussain told Saturday edition of daily Yeni Musavat for his part that Tehran will target any country from where it is attacked.
Hussain was further quoted by Yeni Musavat as saying that Iran will not put pressure on Azerbaijan unless its territory is used for attack on it.
