Iraqi Islamic Council calls for MKO expulsion

The head of Iraqi Supreme Islamic Council for the Islamic called for the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) to be expelled from the country soon.


Addressing the ceremony to mark the 5th martyrdom anniversary of the former head of the Iraqi Supreme Islamic Council Mohammad Baqir al-Hakim, Abd al-Aziz al-Hakim said that the presence of the MKO members in Iraq is the violation of the country's Constitution.

(Mohammad Baqir al-Hakim was the ex-head of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq who assassinated five years ago, 2003).

Referring to the security accord which Washington is willing to sign with Iraq, Abd al-Aziz said: "We never let any power violate the Iraqi sovereignty."
In addition, the country makes its all-out effort to defend the national sovereignty, he noted.
