Iran-Nuclear Program-Response
Iran's response to the Group 5+1's package of incentives was handed over to Germany's Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier by Iran's Ambassador to Berlin Mohammad-Mehdi Akhoundzadeh on Thursday.
Steinmeier said that Berlin would study Iran's response with a "positive outlook."
He reiterated that Iran's nuclear standoff with the West should be solved through peaceful and diplomatic ways.
Steinmeier also hoped that other members of the Group 5+1 would help find a peaceful solution to the issue through diplomatic negotiations after studying Iran's response.
Iran's response to the G5+1 package of incentives was also handed over to the European Union foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, in Brussels on Friday.
The response was delivered to Solana in a meeting by Iran's ambassador to Belgium, Ali-Asghar Khaji.
Khaji expressed hope that the G5+1 member states (The United States, China, Russia, Germany, Britain and France) would prepare the grounds for reaching a comprehensive agreement with a "constructive outlook" based on the common points of the two packages of proposals exchanged between Iran and the G5+1 member states during the last few months.
