Japanese Embassy to hold a ceremony in Tehran

Embassy of Japan will hold a ceremony to present equipment for a project 'Improvement of Medical and Rehabilitation Equipment for Workers' Children with Intellectual Disability in Tehran', as part of Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project.

The ceremony will be held at the Charity Institute for Training and Rehabilitation of Workers' Children with Intellectual Disability auditorium, located at 50, Shahid Mirzaei, Sasan-Asef- Zafaranieh, Vali-e Asr Ave., Tehran from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Wednesday, July 2, 2008.

In line with the said humanitarian assistance and to help improve medical and rehabilitation services rendered by the said institute to children with intellectual disability, Yasushi Fujii, counselor of the Embassy of Japan in Iran, will present the said institute with some medical and rehabilitation equipment, such as pulse oximeter, serology rotator, micro hematocrit centrifuge, vertical traction, ambulance, etc.

The project, which is part of Japanese governmental assistance scheme, would provide the children with better chance to receive more effective medical and rehabilitation services.

The Government of Japan intends to further continue its assistance to governmental organizations, NGOs and non-profit organizations active in humanitarian fields in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
