The 16th International Conference on Electrical Engineering will be held at Tarbiat Modarres University in Tehran for three days as of May 13.

Announcing this on Sunday, the official in charge of the conference noted that a number of domestic and foreign companies active in the fields of electronics, communication, high-voltage electronics and computer will take part in the three-day event to be held in an area of 650 square meters.

Vahid Ahmadi noted that 2,180 articles have been submitted to the conference public relations of which 625 have been accepted.

"The conference aims to provide an opportunity for academics and specialists from national and international electrical engineering community to meet and discuss the latest findings in electrical technology, progress in standards, services and their applications in various branches of electrical engineering," he said.

Referring to the large number of the articles received so far, Ahmadi noted that the articles will be presented in 14 halls in three days.

"Some 10 articles from the the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Malaysia, Japan and Thailand will be read out during the three-day conference," he noted.

The conference will feature eminent keynote speeches, contributed papers for oral and poster presentation, panel and special session, workshops and an exhibition.
