Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei here on Wednesday received members of cabinet to review development projects of Fars province.

The Supreme Leader is currently in this southern province to visit various provincial cities, meet local residents, families of martyrs and war veterans, officials, elites, university students and clerics.

The meeting was held after the cabinet ministers discussed the provincial problems in a session yesterday.

During the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei underscored the need for following up development projects of the province seriously and speedily.

The Supreme Leader also called for active presence of the local officials in the process of settlement of the existing problems facing the local residents.

Ayatollah Khamenei urged the cabinet ministers to establish a center in the provincial capital, Shiraz, to fight against drought in the province and in the entire region.

The Supreme Leader further underscored the need for paying due attention to the provincial nomadic tribes and settlement of their problems.

Referring to the great provincial potentials in all areas, Ayatollah Khamenei called for making use of these potentials to help the province further develop.
