Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel here on Tuesday underscored the need for further expansion of
parliamentary relations between Iran and Oman.
In a meeting with the visiting Omani Foreign Minister, Yusuf bin Alawi, he expressed Tehran's satisfaction with the current level of political, economic, cultural and security cooperation with Muscat.
Exchange of visits between the two countries' officials is an indication of the two sides' will for further expansion of bilateral relations, Haddad-Adel added.
He referred to Tehran-Muscat relations as a good example for all regional states.
Criticizing the US approach regarding other countries, particularly the regional states, he voiced Iran's readiness to establish positive and constructive relations with all countries throughout the globe, in particular with the neighboring states.
The Iranian speaker further lauded Oman's logical stands regarding regional developments.
Referring to critical situation in the occupied Iraq, he stressed that Washington is trying to blame others, particularly the Islamic Republic, for its own mistakes in that war-torn country.
For his part, the Omani minister termed Tehran-Muscat relations as "very good and satisfying".
The two countries share identical views regarding many regional and international developments, he said.
The Omani official further praised Iran's key role in
establishing regional stability and the country's positive role in resolving problems facing the oppressed Iraqi nation.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is a big and powerful country in the region which plays a crucial and constructive role in
establishment of peace and tranquility in Iraq.
He denounced continuation of occupation by the US forces in the neighboring Iraq.
The Omani foreign minister reiterated that Washington's negative propaganda campaign against the Islamic Republic would have no effect on Muscat's approach towards Tehran.
