Secretary General of the World Assembly of Proximity among Islamic Schools of Thought (WAPIST) Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Taskhiri said Tuesday that the "usurper" regime of Israel has been founded on injustice as Iran has refused to recognize it and has paid its due cost.
Taskhiri told celebrations marking birthday anniversary of Hazrat Ali (AS), the first Imam of Shiites, that Islamic Revolution of Iran has raised the call for justice and declined to officially recognize Israel.
Taskhiri arrived in Madrid Tuesday to attend the International Dialogue among Religions, to be held in Madrid on July 16.
Taskhiri told IRNA upon arrival that he will take part in the meeting to brief the audience on Iran's strategy on dialogue among civilizations, cultures and religions.
The Iranian cleric is in Madrid upon an official invitation by Saudi King Abdullah and is accompanied by his Deputy Mohammad-Hassan Tabarian.
He said Iran's policy is based on dialogue among civilizations, cultures and religions because dialogue is logic of human beings.
The three-day gathering is organized by the Muslim World League (MWL).
Over 200 leading personalities representing various monotheistic religions as well as prominent scholars and thinkers would participate in the conference.
The participants in the conference will discuss various topics, including social amity, international cooperation, human rights and coexistence.
The Madrid conference would discuss major topics, such as the religious and cultural roots of dialogue, moral values of contemporary man, and the role of religion in combating crimes, drugs and corruption.
