Beijing, July 13, IRNA

Iran-China-Hosseini
Iranian and Chinese leaders are determined to further boost all-out bilateral relations, it was announced on Sunday.

The remarks were made by Mohammad Ali Hosseini, president's special envoy, upon his arrival in Beijing.

Hosseini is currently in Beijing to deliver President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's message to his Chinese counterpart, President Hu Jintao.

Talking to reporters gathered at the airport, he said that materialization of the agreements reached between the two sides will be among topics to be discussed with the Chinese officials.

Tehran expects all its friendly countries, including China, to express support for the country's peaceful nuclear program and its close cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, Hosseini said.

Commenting on the positive consequences of Iran-IAEA cooperation, he said Tehran calls on Beijing to support the process of its cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog and to defend the legitimate rights of the Iranian nation within the framework of international regulations.

Hosseini further urged China, as a member of Group 5+1, to encourage constructive and goal-oriented talks between Tehran and members of the group.

As to the test-fire of Shahab-3 missile by Iran on Wednesday, he said the recent missile wargames and all military maneuvers launched by the Islamic Republic so far have been aimed at establishment of peace and security in the region as well as displaying Iran's combat readiness and potentials.

The 2,000-km-range Shahab-3 missiles were tested to demonstrate Iran's capability in hitting its enemies accurately at the early stages of their probable attacks against the Islamic Republic.

Iran enjoys amicable ties with all regional states while certain foreign countries are making attempts to mar such a relationship, Hosseini said.

Condemning the US double-standard policy, he said the United States is misportraying Iran as if it poses threats to the entire region.
