Unidentified gunmen shot dead chief security officer of the leader of the ruling party leader in the Pakistani port city of Karachi on Tuesday, police and party spokesman said.
Khalid Shehansha was travelling in his car when it 'came under attack at defense locality from another car', spokesman for the ruling Peoples Party Ejaz Durrani said.
Shehansha was in-charge of the security affairs for Asif Ali Zardari, the widower of slain leader Benazir Bhutto and co-chairman of the Peoples Party.
The gunmen fled after the incident.
No group claimed responsibility of the attack.
Doctors at the city's Ziauddin hospital said that Shehansha received three bullets and was he died on way to hospital.
