Iranian university ranks 2nd in China RoboCup competitions

The robotic team of Khajeh Nasir al-Din Toosi University of Technology ranked second in the RoboCup-2008 Suzhou competitions in China on Monday.


The team had won the best award in the 2005 competition in Japan and ranked second in 2006 competition in Germany.

The Iranian teams from Sharif University of Technology, Qazvin Islamic Azad University, Khajeh Nasir al-Din Toosi University of Technology, Amirkabir University of Technology and Isfahan University reached the final stage of the tournament.

Teams from 30 countries took part in the 12th RoboCup
International Competitions and Conferences, RoboCup-2008 held from July 14-20 in Suzhou, China.

Some 184 Iranian university students displayed their scientific and technical capabilities during the seven-day event.
