Pakistan-Killing
Unidentified gunmen have shot dead head of a government-run religious seminary in Pakistan's troubled northwest, police said Tuesday.
Maulana Masood came under attack at Swat valley last night when he was on his way back home after offering prayers, a police official said.
Masood died at the scene and the three armed assassins fled after the attack.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Bilal Ahmed Danish, nephew of the slain scholar told the police that Masood had no enmity with any one and that he had never received any threat.
A case was registered against unidentified men and police say they are searching for the suspects.
Two local leaders of Islamic groups 'Jamaat-e-Islami' and 'Ishaat-e-Tawheed Wal-Sunnah' were shot dead in Swat by unidentified men in two weeks.
It is believed that the incidents are 'targeted killings' and those people are hit who are against the activities of local Taliban.
