Iran snatched 2 medals in Serbia competition

Iranian taekwondo athletes bagged two medals at the 10th World University Taekwondo Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.

In the sixth weight category, Iran's Rouhollah Talebi beat his Spanish, British and Russian rivals to advance into the final and took the gold medal.

Hossein Tajik, in the eighth weight category, defeated his rivals from China, Spain and Germany but unfortunately was overpowered by his Serbian rival and snatched the silver medal.

Some 231 Taekwondo athletes from 42 countries are participating in the four-day event in Belgrade.

The event began on July 16 and will run until July 20.
