Head of Iraq Customs Organization said his country is very interested in expanding economic and trade exchanges with Iran.

Muhammad Jassem Atteyeh told IRNA in Mehran border point, in Ilam province, on Wednesday that his country is preparing grounds for increasing trade and passenger exchanges between the two countries.

He also said that Iran-Iraq air link will be commissioned in the next 45 days.

Currently, 3,000 pilgrims and 700 trucks with Iran made merchandise pass into Iraq daily through Mehran border point.
