The leading Iranian automaker Saipa will export over 20,000 cars to Algeria within three years, the export manager of Saipa said here on Monday.

Referring to the inauguration of a Saipa sale office in North Africa, Mohsen Javan noted that Algerian market is one of the biggest target markets in the North Africa.

Given that Saipa products are in high demand in the North Africa markets, he added Saipa has planned a long-time program for establishment of assembly lines in Algeria.

A sales office in North Africa for Saipa was inaugurated in Algeria in a ceremony attended by Housing Minister Mohammad Saeedikia and senior Saipa officials on July 14.

Meanwhile, Iran Khodro is planning to establish an auto assembly plant in Algeria in near future, Algeria's Famoval Company said.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Algiers International Automobile Exhibition, Hakim Ekini said that everything is ready for establishment of Iran Khodro Company (IKCO) assembly plant.

"Some 1,000 vehicles of various types have been sold here," he said, adding the automobiles are being distributed officially by 10 representative offices in the cities of Algiers, Vihren, Constantine and Annaba.

Ekini announced that the number of distribution centers will double in near future and be extended to other Algerian provinces.

"The after-sale services and auto parts have completely satisfied customers," he said.
