Iran-Germany-Committee
Visiting head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines Mohammad Nahavandian met with several German officials on Monday.
Nahavandian called for establishment of Iran-Germany joint committee in near future.
Referring to the longstanding Iran-Germany economic and political ties, he noted that the political issues should not hinder the trade ties.
Given some restrictions which have been imposed on Iran's Melli Bank, he added experience has shown that imposing economic sanctions on Iran has no effect on Iran economy.
"Germany has lost over 10,000 job opportunities due to the economic sanctions on Iran," he said.
The German officials, for their part, termed the Islamic Republic as one of the most important trade partners of Germany, saying that they should not lose trade opportunities in Iran.
They also voiced their willingness for expanding bilateral ties in all fields, expressing hope that the ground would be prepared for presence of German companies in Iran.
