Iran-Hong Kong-Trade
Head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines, Mohammad Nahavandian on Monday voiced Iran's readiness to play an active role in the Southeast Asian region.
Addressing members of the visiting Hong Kong trade delegation to Iran, he called for exchange of trade delegations between the two countries.
He also underscored the need for expansion of Iran-Hong Kong bilateral cooperation in the areas of tourism, banking, insurance, energy, and petrochemicals.
Nahavandian stressed that direct and mutual relations between the two countries' banks would lead to boost bilateral trade ties.
Referring to Iran's strategic situation in the region, he said such a situation has prepared an appropriate ground of foreign investment in Iran.
On imposition of economic sanctions against Iran, he said those imposing sanctions on Iran have deprived themselves of iran's valuable market. He added that the US has deprived its people of Iran's oil and gas market.
He further called for visa facilities for the two sides' businessmen.
