Pakistan's coalition to impeach Musharraf: leaders

Pakistani ruling coalition leaders Thursday announced to impeach President Pervez Musharraf.

Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif and leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Asif Ali Zardari told a joint news conference that impeachment roceedings against President Musharraf have been started.

"The coalition believes that it imperative to impeach Musharraf," Zardari said.

He said four provincial assemblies will pass resolutions to demand President Musharraf take vote of confidence immediately.

"The coalition decided to initiate impeachment proceedings against Musharraf," the PPP leader insisted.

Zardari also announced to restore all judges, sacked by President Musharraf in November.
