Tehran, July 23, IRNA

Iran-Nuclear-Majlis
Top nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili, is to attend a Majlis informal session next Sunday to brief the lawmakers on his recent talks with the Group 5+1 representative, Javier Solana, in Geneva, Switzerland.

Member of the Majlis presiding board, Hamid-Reza Haj Babaei, told IRNA that Jalili is to discuss the diplomatic trend and future strategies taken by Tehran about its nuclear standoff with the West.

The MP said Majlis has decided to have a more active presence in the field of Iran's nuclear program and the dispute with the West.

Jalili, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, attended a meeting on July 19 with Solana, the European Union foreign policy chief, who represented the Group 5+1, about Iran's nuclear issue.

The US Undersecretary of State William Burns was also present in the meeting.

Jalili referred to the talks as "constructive" and "progressing" meeting.
