President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in this southwestern province on Wednesday along with his cabinet ministers.

This is the fourth provincial tour of President Ahmadinejad in the current Iranian year (started on March 21).

He and his entourage were accorded warm welcome at the city's airport by local officials including the city's Friday Prayer leader, governor-general and senior army staff.

Vice-President for Executive Affairs Ali Saeedlou and the president's senior advisor Mojtaba Samareh Hashemi, as well as members of the cabinet are accompanying Ahmadinejad.

During his stay in the province, President Ahmadinejad will inspect a number of development projects, meet with families of martyrs and hold separate meetings with provincial clerics and scholars.

The president and his cabinet ministers will hold a session in the provincial capital to discuss the province's needs.

He made the initiative to visit different provinces since he took office in 2005 in order to bring closer the government to ordinary people.
